Chief Minister: KP launches new feeder route for BRT buses

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday officially launched the new feeder route DR-14 of the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system during a ceremony at Central Park Rezi Model Town.

The new route will connect Board Bazaar to DHA via Reji Model Town along Nasirbagh Road. This extension has taken the total number of Zoo Peshawar routes to 16, fulfilling a long-standing public demand.

The route will have 16 stops, including major points from Islamia College to DHA. CM Gandapur said that around 350,000 passengers visit Zoo Peshawar daily.

He said, “The Zoo Peshawar network is a testimony to the commitment of the government and stakeholders to meet the growing transportation needs of Peshawar residents.”

A Trans Peshawar spokesperson said the new route would serve students of Islamia College and University of Peshawar besides residents of Razi Model Town, DHA, Askari and Police Colony.

Plans are underway to introduce an additional route from Pishtakhara to Peshawar Sadar, which will benefit residents of Bara Road from Peshawar Sadar to Pishtakhara.
