Pakistan Railways releases special train schedule for Eid

Pakistan Railways on Wednesday announced that it will run three special trains to facilitate holiday travel on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

Two of these trains will depart from Karachi, the first of which will leave for Peshawar on June 14 at 6:30 pm, with exclusively economy class coaches.

The second train will leave for Lahore on June 15 at 9:30 pm, with business, standard and economy class coaches. Besides, a third special train will leave from Quetta to ensure that passengers from different regions can reach their destinations on the festival occasion.

On the other hand, according to the Meteorological Department forecast, Eid-ul-Azha will likely be celebrated in Pakistan on June 17 (Monday). The Climate Data Processing Centre has said that the Zilhajj moon is expected to be visible on June 7 (Friday).

On June 6, moonrise is expected to be at 5:38 pm and sunset at 7:20 pm. The moon is expected to be visible for 72 minutes after sunset, making it likely to be visible.
